DIIC to hold free medical camp in Ajman

DUBAI - A multi-speciality free medical camp will be organised as part of the tenth anniversary celebrations of the Dubai Indian Islamic Centre (DIIC) at GMC Hospital in Ajman on April 18, P.T. Abdul Rahman, General Secretary of DIIC, said in a Press conference yesterday.

"More than 2,000 people from across the UAE are expected to take part in the camp, which will be attended by 40 doctors from different faculties of medicine, in addition to 90 para-medical staff," Mr Abdul Rahman said.

Participants in the camp will be able to undergo free check-up on diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure apart from special ECG and other tests, he said. "This is the seventh medical camp conducted by the DIIC, which has organised a record number of free medical camps in the UAE," Mr Abdul Rahman said, adding that hundreds of underprivileged people have benefited from their previous camps.
