The new e-card, 'Rahal', will be issued 24/7 days at 61 petrol stations in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Northern Emirates.
The head of the media department, Dr Majdi Saleh, told Khaleej Times that the officials at Adnoc have taken the measures to solve the rush problems in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain , Al Gharbia (Western Region), Sharjah and Northern Emirates.
Adnoc petrol stations have been witnessing big rush of vehicles as as hundreds of cars, trucks and buses were waiting at the stations for more than 10-15 hours to get the diesel. This has fuelled the black market of diesel in the country.
Under the 'Rahal' card, monthly quota will be fixed for three categories of vehicles. Vehicles below three tons will get 600 gallons per month, while 3-5 tons trucks will have 900 gallons per month, and heavy vehicles will have a quota of 1,500 gallons per month.
'Rahal' pre-paid cards will be issued at specified Adnoc stations on payment of Dh50 card fee. It will be valid for one year from the activation date. The renewal fees will be Dh50. Dh500 will be paid in advance as the minimum revalue amount.
In case of cancellation, refund will be made only if the amount is above Dh100.
All old cards will be active and available for use except for diesel, which will be limited to the Rahal prepaid card (E-Corporate customers and E-Private diesel are exempted until October 31).
