Deadline for Ajman is December 1

AJMAN — The executive council of Ajman has announced that effective December 1, all government transactions will require the National Identity Card, said Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, General Secretary of Ajman executive council.

The new law will include nationals and expatriates wishing to complete any governmental transaction. Effective the stipulated date, the ID card will be made mandatory in addition to the passport and other documents for completing government transactions.

He added that on October 10, the Ajman executive council had made an agreement with the Emirates Identification Authority that the Identity Card can be used as personal proof by all the employees working at government and non-governmental organisations. — afkarali@khaleejtimes.com
