DCC's new web site

DUBAI — The Dubai Cultural Council (DCC) launched its new web site at a Press conference held at Al Owais Cultural Foundation, Dubai on Monday. The new web site www.dubaiculturalcouncil.com gives a comprehensive account of everything that is relevant to the UAE cultural setting.

The launch was attended by Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of DCC; Dr Saleh Al Qassem, General Secretary of DCC; and Hamda Al Ahli, Media and Communication Coordinator.

Al Murr said: "Having the information and passing it to others is an important part of our strategy, especially in documentation and information related to culture, art and literature. Internet today is one of the most important communication devices to individuals and groups. The council concentrated on passing on the information they have through the new web site. We have relied in launching this web site on our cultural analysis. The web site contains several informative articles and links related to important cultural subjects. The new web site will also include each and every cultural activity in Dubai and the UAE."

The site brings accounts of various events and people connected with cultural scenario of the country, with reference to Dubai. It is updated constantly to inform web surfers about the latest happenings and news from the world of art, drama, literature, cinema, folk arts and theatre.
