Cultural, scientific week of GCC universities begins
AL AIN — Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of UAE University (UAEU), yesterday inaugurated the 6th Cultural and Scientific Week of the GCC universities at the Zayed Library Theatre in the Al Silimy Area in Al Ain. The event takes place once in three years.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Shaikh Nahyan thanked the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his directives to develop the higher education sector in the country.
He said the cultural week will consolidate and strengthen interaction and cooperation among GCC students and reflect the vision and mission of the GCC universities to create sustainable development in the field of education.
Students from various GCC universities presented their writings, research papers and other works at the conference.
