Computer network course in schools from next year likely

DUBAI The UAE Ministry of Education and Youth (MoEY) is currently examining a proposal to introduce a computer network course next year and its related applications to secondary school graduates in coordination with Zayed University.

Trainees will be given a certificate qualifying them to work in a number of domains which require setting up and managing computer networks.

Dr Ali Abdul Aziz Al Sharhan, UAE Minister of Education and Youth, attend a detailed demonstration of the course and its applications in presence of directors of educational zones.

Dr Al Sharhan instructed the directors of educational zones to coordinate with the specialised company supervising the project to thrash out the requirements of schools in terms of facilities and equipment and also to envisage the needs of each educational zone on trial basis before the project is put into operation on broader scale.
