“The presence of the large Indian community, which is peacefully and productively engaged in this country, has been a positive element in cementing our close ties. The visit of the President comes at a time when both the countries are strengthening their role in regional and global issues, especially in the economic, security, energy and environmental sectors,” the envoy said.

They have a substantive role to play in sustaining the global economic recovery. Our evolving partnership will prove to be a stabilising factor for the region and its economy. The visit of the President will provide further momentum to our time-tested relations and enable us to consolidate and expand the diverse links that nurture our relations, Lokesh said.
