Abdullah Al Amri, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, said that the initiative is part of the municipality's concern about the importance of activating its role in serving society and supporting the humanitarian issues of all Arab countries, including Lebanon, where the Arab brothers are suffering the horror of war which has made thousands of people homeless and killed innocent children and women.
He added that the Municipality is also participating in "Together for Lebanon" campaign being organised by Sharjah Family Supreme Council (SFSC) under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qassimi, Wife of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to support the people of the war-torn Lebanon.
Al Amri said that "our brothers in Lebanon are facing humanitarian miseries which touched our heart and aroused our feelings of help, support and solidarity with them. Giving donation is a kind of expression that can reflect our solidarity with them and it confirms our support to them during this difficult time"
