Buxani awards for literature
DUBAI — The ‘Ishwaribai Buxani Life-Time Achievement Award’ for 2007 instituted by Ram and Veena Buxani Foundation for oustanding contribution to Sindhi literature and culture will be presented to Dr Murlidhar K. Jetley of New Delhi, and husband and wife joint winners of Mumbai, Thakur Chawla and Paroo Chawla, on December 9 in Mumbai, India.
The function is jointly organised by the Sindhi Council of India and Friends of International Sindhis.
This was announced by Dr Ram Buxani, Managing Trustee of the Foundation, in Dubai on Tuesday.
The award was instituted in memory of his late mother in the year 1988. The award is given to the people excelling themselves in the field of literature and culture.
