Aamir Khan has decided to quit social media, and bid goodbye to his followers with a heartfelt message.

According to NDTV, the 56-year-old Bollywood powerhouse made the announcement on his Instagram on Monday, letting fans know that any updates he had would now be shared on the handle of his production house Aamir Khan Productions.

It is not yet clear whether he intends to deactivate all his accounts or quit social media altogether.

Khan is not known to post regularly on his social media accounts, only becoming active when he has a new movie to promote, wish colleagues or mark a special day.
