Elias Bou Saab, Vice-President of AUD, said around 100 students scoring more than 90 per cent marks in high school examination will receive the scholarship instituted by the university. He pointed out that due to stiff competition last year, the scholarship was awarded to students with 95 per cent and above. The scholarship is open for both nationals and expatriates of private and government schools.

Letters announcing the details of the scholarship has been already issued to 30 private schools.

Bou Saab praised the support of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defence Minister, to the university and the encouragement of students to succeed. He disclosed that the scholarship has increased competition among students and has accomplished its goals by producing a distinguished generation of students that is capable of contributing in the development of the country.
