Brigadier Al Zaabi stressed upon the recently amended Federal Traffic Laws, which have been effective from July 1 this year. The new amendment intends to reduce accidents caused by dangerous driving, speeding, not leaving enough distances between vehicles and sudden lane changes, which means that these are causing most of the on-road accidents.

As per the General Directorate of Traffic Coordination of the Ministry of Interior, a majority of the 315 on-road deaths in the first half of 2017 have happened due to the causes mentioned above.


In short, there are pretty high chances of you ending up in an unwanted situation on the road if you accidentally switch lanes, go over the speed limit, or not give enough breathing space to the bonnet of the vehicle ahead. Sure, laws are being worked upon and put into effect to prevent such instances, but imagine the change you could bring as a citizen if your car is armed and ready for such situations.
