Another dead bird sparks panic in city

A panic-stricken Ahmed Junaid, a resident of Satwa, frantically called the Dubai Municipality after his mother found a dead pigeon in the water tank, fearing possible outbreak of bird flu.

Such is the panic created here by reports of avian flu having surfaced in Kuwait that the civic officials have been flitting from one dead bird to another, and could not attend to Junaid’s SOS for about four-and-half hours.
