A new bus fleet of the Ajman Public Transportation Cooperation (APTC) was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The APTC also launched the second phase of expansion with more routes and bus stations.
Omar Ahmed bin Ormair, director-general of the APTC, said the move comes as part of the Ajman vision to develop the transport sector. "The second phase includes as detailed blueprint illustrating transport stations, services provided to the public, smart applications and communications in four languages - Arabic, English, Chinese and Urdu," he told Khaleej Times.
The expansion is aimed at providing best services for all sectors of society including the category of elderly and people with determination.
The new bus fleet is equipped with phone chargers, Wi-Fi, internal screens that display the estimated time to the next station and arrival times to the destination through Masar card system.
