Ajman police gear up to provide better services

AJMAN — The Ajman Police Department is currently carrying out a number of expansion and development projects to enhance its security services to people of the emirate.

Aims of these projects also include coping with the rapid development being witnessed in the emirate in terms of construction and real estate and increasing number of the population.

Talking to Khaleej Times, Colonel Ali Alwan, Deputy Director of the Ajman Police Department, said that one of the projects pertains to construction of a new building for the Directorate of the Criminal Research and Investigation, at the cost of around Dhs2 million, to enhance its performance.

The building would house offices and investigation rooms. Another building for the directorate is being constructed in Al Jarf area for keeping sniffing dogs. It will be completed at the cost of around Dhs3 million and will have training section for sniffing dogs, offices and barns for the dogs.

The Muzairi and Industrial Area police stations are all set for official inauguration which is expected to take place by first of the next month.

The department has just inaugurated premises of its Training and Planning section to provide training to staff of different sections to enhance their performance.
