The Ajman Sewerage Project is 50 per cent complete and will be fully operational by the end of next year, he said, adding that it will be serving 75,000 homes and businesses on 12,500 plots, recycling sewage to produce 50,000 cubic metres of irrigation-quality water every day.

Under the project, titled, 'Go green, Ajman', the output of recycled water has the potential to transform large tracts of the emirate into grass or arable lands.

"The completion of this critical phase of the waste water treatment plant gives our emirate and its people a world-class civic amenity, with total support from the local authorities. All parties involved in the project are working day and night to complete the project on schedule and make the system operational.

"This facility will not only improve the quality of life for all residents, but it will also make Ajman a more attractive destination for investors and a more desirable place to live and raise a family," he said

Regarding electricity projects, "The work on the electricity plant in Al Zawra is in progress."

Also, an advanced drainage system to solve the problems caused by rain is being set up in Al Muaimia, Khalifa Road and other parts of the emirate.

As far as road projects are concerned, "construction works will soon start in Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Road, Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street and Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road," said Al Nuaimi.
