Travelling, in general, is a learning experience. Any destination you reach is bound to teach you a thing or two about life. Such is the beauty of travel. Dubai, for example, is a beautiful learning experience. There are many fears and notions that you throw away when you decide to stay in the emirate. Here are some examples of fears that you can pretty much say goodbye to.
Fear of other cultures
Also known as fear of the unknown; Dubai is an extremely diverse city with expats from across the globe coming together here. Because of this, you'll have friends of various nationalities. You'll also enjoy their local dishes which they cook or are readily available in Dubai's many restaurants.
Fear of heights
Fear of heights is one of the first things you get rid of when you come to Dubai. At the Top and At.Mosphere in Burj Khalifa are notable examples. Even living here compels you to get rid of your fear of heights. Here's looking at you, Dubai Marina/JLT.
Fear of crime
Dubai prides itself on its very low crime rate. You can take a stroll at night and not worry about running into trouble. People you pass by are also more than willing to help you out should the need arise. In fact, it's so safe here that you can leave your bags for a couple of minutes and not worry about them.
Fear of harassment
Since Dubai is pretty safe, its residents can rest assured that they will not be harassed in any way. Should there be any, authorities are responsive to complaints of any harassment that one might experience during one's stay here.
Fear of heat
You've survived close to 45°C while walking to work. Nothing can stop you now because you're brushing off the heat like nobody's business.
Fear of getting lost
After staying here for quite some time, you'll know the city like the back of your hand. The names also state the obvious so if you ever want to play cricket with your newfound Indian friends, there's Sports City for that.
