Picture this; you're on a rush in the morning to save yourself from severe Dubai morning traffic so you skip on eating breakfast at home and just hope to chance upon a quick bite while on the road. Sounds familiar right?
Sure there are a lot of places where one can enjoy their first meal of the day, but the other question is 'how much does it cost?' But don't worry; here are 5 breakfast treats you can get virtually everywhere in Dubai - on the cheap.

Paratha

Think of it as Dubai's version of having a bagel or baguette for breakfast. The Indian flatbread can be found in every cafeteria in existence in Dubai and they usually go for Dh1 each. So when you hunger really calls on you, Dhs3-5 will help you out. But here's a Dubai hack for expats, try it out with.

Egg bhurji

Egg bhurji is usually available where paratha is and if you haven't tried it yet, they go hand in hand like coffee and cream. Egg bhurji is technically scrambled eggs with a unique mix of spices, onions and chillies. The price usually ranges from Dhs2-3

McDonald's Pancakes

At Dhs10, McDonald's pancakes are fairly priced and for an additional Dhs4 you also get a warm cup of coffee and a hashbrown. Served right in a minute and just succulent, you'd be in and out of the drive-thru in minute.

KFC Roller

KFC's roller is like paratha version 2.0, add some veggies, some world famous KFC chicken and the KFC roller is born, at a reasonable Dhs5, you can take a bite at this whether you're walking, or parked, because eating while driving can get you a fine in Dubai.

Pan de sal

If it comes to it, bread and coffee is actually an attractive choice especially if you're commuting. Some local cafes are located conveniently near bus stops and three pieces of Filipino pan de sal bread roll cost only Dh1. A cup of coffee goes for almost the same price.
