The airline did not specify the reason behind the delay. On arrival at the airport, the pilgrims were surprised to find out that their flight (No 5717), which was supposed to take off at 7pm yesterday, was delayed till 12pm today (Friday). Though Saudia officials tried to pacify the pilgrims by offering to accommodate them in hotels till the new departure time, they did not disclose the reason for the delay.
