In a shocking incident, a 24-year-old student committed suicide by jumping from the 19th floor of Taj Lands Hotel in Bandra.
Before jumping, the Bengaluru student Arjun Bharadwaj live streamed a video on his Facebook page, which went viral this morning. In the video, he gives a tutorial about how to commit suicide and can be seen in an inebriated condition.  The incident occurred at 6.30 pm yesterday evening.
Bharadwaj is a third year BCom student of Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics in Vile Parle (West) checked into the hotel at 3.30 am Monday, according the police.
"After he broke the glass, he jumped through the window. He left a suicide note saying he was 'badly depressed', addicted to drugs and hence took the step," said Nivrutti Thakare, senior inspector at the Bandra police station in a quote to The Indian Express.
In the video, Bharadwaj shows the suicide notes that he has left behind for his family. The student had checked in with proper documents, leading the police to identify him and inform his family.
