10 playgrounds getting ready for children of Dubai

Dh30m worth creative play yards, the first of its kind in the region, says director general of Dubai civic body

Spending Dh30million, ten creative play yards will be built for children, the Dubai Municipality (DM) has announced.
The sophisticated children's playground - the first of its kind in the region - is being built at a cost of Dh30million, Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah, the Director General of the DM has said..
Out of its keenness to carry out projects in an innovative manner, the children playgrounds will be made in a distinctive way, added Lootah.
He said out that the playgrounds will be composed of coloured rubber ground, artificial grass, innovative rides, which have never been used here before.
These play areas will meet the children's needs especially those with special needs, as new educational and artistic elements will be used whereby learning shall be presented through playing.
The play areas will contain sun-shaded seats, garbage bins, toilets, night lights run by the solar power, an unconventional steel fencing that will surround the play area.
"New creative ideas will be applied also when establishing such play areas through unique designs," Lootah added.
These play yards will help children learn and have fun at the same time, he noted.
The play areas comprise an adventure yard, educational yard, sensory yard, themed yard, space yard, desert yard, Emirates yard, and music yard, he said.
