Manama - Bahrain has rearrested the former general secretary of the National Democratic Action Society (Waad), Ebrahim Sharif, after less than a month of his release.
He was released on June 18 after serving almost his five years sentence in a case involving foiled attempt to overthrow the government in 2011 along with other convicts who are serving life sentence.
The Bahrain News Agency and Interior Ministry announced through their twitter account Sharif's arrest for violating the law.
