NGK Spark Plug Middle East celebrated its 15th anniversary recently with a passion to grow and strengthen its position as a leading ignition and sensor specialist. The event took place at Armani Hotel, Burj Khalifa, Dubai in the presence of around 140 guests, who were valuable customers from the region and top management from Japan and other global subsidiaries.
NGK Middle East started its journey in the year 2000, by establishing a liaison office in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai with only two employees. It expanded to a dedicated warehouse establishment with an area of 1,000 square metres in 2002, which later served Africa and CIS countries in 2003. Building on core competitiveness and quality service, the company grew bigger and currently employs 31 associates. The office area spans 12,000 square metres within JAFZA and serves 71 countries of Middle East, Africa, CIS and South Asia region. The company aims to grow even further to retain its market leadership.
The highlight of the event was the venue itself, located at Burj Khalifa, tallest building in the world. The magnificent interior of the ballroom added to the overall grandeur of the event. All guests were welcomed by NGK Team at the entrance. For guest entertainment, there was a magic show, while they enjoyed cocktails.
The gala dinner night started with a welcome speech by Hideaki Nakashima, MD of NGK ME, followed by an opening speech by Shinichi Odo, President of NGK Global Headquarters, and opening remarks from Sumiya from the regional headquarters. Other attractions were vibrant Japanese drums, Sand art, and Contortionist. The guests were also addressed by renowned people like CEO of JAFZA Mohammad Al Muallem, and CEO of Arab Culturalist Nasef Kayed.
There was an award ceremony to appreciate and recognise customer efforts. NGK ME employees who had completed 10 years of service were awarded too. The event was concluded by the MD of ?NGK ME with a thanks note, followed by Middle East Team introduction and a grand group photo session.
