The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has sponsored a mass wedding of 222 couples in Bahrain.
The Bahraini Parliament’s Chairman, Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani and Mohammed Haji Khouri, the Director-General of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, attended the wedding along with a number of officials.
In a statement on the occasion, Al Dhahrani paid tribute to the Khalifa Foundation for organising the event for the third time, which embodies the fraternal relations between Bahrain and the UAE, underpinning the strong relations between the two countries’ leadership, as well as contributing to their joint interest and security.
He also extended greetings to the UAE, led by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the occasion of the UAE’s 42nd National Day, which coincides with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebrations of its own National Day, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern State of Bahrain.
The Parliament Chairman also paid tribute to Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the foundation, for supporting the mass wedding project.
