An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale hit off Jhajjar in Haryana on Saturday, the India Meteorological department (IMD) said.
Tremors of the quake, which hit the neighbouring state at 8:57 pm, were also felt in the national capital and neighbouring Noida and Gurgaon.
There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property.
