Someone said east is east and west is west and never the twain shall meet (Rudyard Kipling, if I remember correctly), but Lobster & Burger is turning that on its head. A new dish, Lobster Tikka, packs the flavours of north Indian street food in the posh lobster. Served with sides of garnished cumin rice and brioche bread. Promises to be finger-licking good!

Ironing out the blips
The hair dryer is a girl's best friend when she's travelling; but, often, she forgets about her other pal: the travel iron. How many times have you had to pay prohibitively for laundry services at hotels because you forgot to pack in an iron? I have, many times. Hopefully, not anymore. I have my eyes set on this feather-weight Black + Decker (I also love their toasters!) travel mate. No more creases, only sleek lines.

Bose is always music to my ears
This shares my family name. Bose. I'm obviously proud, no end, of its 'heritage'. These days, a full-scale music system seems to be a bit out of place since music can be availed of so easily, anywhere, anytime. The Bose SoundLink Mini is a bluetooth speaker that delivers full, natural sound with dramatically deeper bass than you'd expect from an ultra-compact speaker (it also features a built-in microphone for taking calls, and makes easy wireless connections). And the perfect size: I can lug it around anywhere, anytime!

Being a barista
Nothing like a great cup of coffee... at all odd hours. The Upphetta coffee maker is compact, effective - plus cheap and cheerful! I don't have to be terrified of breaking it and feeling miserable over pouring hot water on my coffee-making plans. So, here's what I need to be a barista now: Pour hot water over ground coffee beans, push down the
strainer and serve straight up. Some cream and sugar, please. Easy peasy. Here's to the cuppa that cheers.

Mirror, mirror, on my bag...
Call me a true-blue desi girl, I love subcontinental ethnic flourishes. This Star Mela tote will just be such a stand-out in the midst of a handbags' clutter with its lovely mirrorwork, motifs and pops of colour. Maybe not suitable for work, but this will work wonders at an evening out or a laidback brunch.
