My travel destination of the week
Venice, beautiful Venice. From the museums and architecture to the hotels and food, this place will surely take your breath away. The experience of traversing canals in gondolas while being serenaded is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will make you feel like you must be in a romantic movie. My favourite hotel there is The Gritti Palace.
My top personality of the week
I found this beautiful, incredibly talented girl randomly on Instagram and was mesmerised by her voice and beauty. She is 16 years old, originally Palestinian but living in LA. Her name is Elyanna Amer Marjieh. I spoke to her and she told me she is currently working on an album EP, with Grammy award-winning songwriter Nasri from the reggae fusion band Magic! and R&B/pop singer Massari. Together, they're hoping to create a new genre of Arabic music. Her voice will send shivers down your spine, so stay tuned for her album by following her on Instagram @elianmarjieh.
My top event of the week
I had an amazing time at the ADCB polo tournament at the Desert Palm Resort and Hotel. It was a beautiful day, which only lent to the overall ambience. The tournament brought all the UAE teams together for a friendly game. Everyone looked so fashionable and beautiful. It was a perfect day out with my girls.
My top restaurant of the week
I have to say that I haven't had such great Greek food in Dubai in a long time. Opa just opened its doors and I'm willing to bet it will soon be a very popular place in Dubai. The food was excellent, and the beautiful interiors made me feel as though I was in Mykonos. The fun part was the Greek dancers who made the guests break plates! Highly recommend.
My beauty tip of the week
The magic brand with the magic little sponge has come out with one of the most practical foundations. Bounce is the new addition to the BeautyBlender range and I have to say that it is amazing, offering great coverage with a wonderful matte texture.
My advice for the week
Don't be one of those people who will be a friend to someone only because they have money and power. Be someone who will be a friend to anyone as long as they are kind and respectful.
