The number one item on your wish list.

At the moment, I am really lusting after the red Amal dress by Dodo Bar'Or - it looks so comfy and perfect for the Dubai climate, paired with flat sandals. I can also see myself wearing it on New Year's Eve (which I'm spending in Ireland this year), dressed up with high heels.

If you could move to any place in the world for free, what place would that be?

Bali. I love the infectious energy and spirit of this unique island. The art and culture is so diverse and the Balinese place a real emphasis on family and togetherness. They are very calm and kind-natured people. I love the island's spiritual connection and the popularity of yoga and meditation there.

The biggest learning point in your life.

I would have to say both the Mindfulness and Meditation courses that I did at Lifeworks Dubai. As well as learning breathing techniques that help to focus and declutter the mind, the Mindfulness course taught me how to observe my thoughts in the present moment, enabling me to guide my emotional reactions to them. Now, whenever a situation arises - that I would've automatically been stressed out about before - I'm able to recognise my thoughts for what they are: completely unproductive and a drain on energy. Since I have started to meditate, I feel calmer, more positive, more compassionate and able to concentrate more easily.

If you won a million bucks tomorrow, what would you do with the money?

Divide some of it among my nearest and dearest, buy a nice house and go to Bali for a holiday.

What advice would you give your younger self, if you could?

Believe in yourself more and let go of things which no longer serve you.

The most interesting app you've come across so far.

Although I don't use it much (as I have my own morning meditation practice), I think HeadSpace is a great app. It helps people to integrate meditation into their daily lives. For as little as 10 minutes a day, it has been shown to help people stress less, exercise more and even sleep better. I also really like Mindfulness Daily, as it sends reminder alerts to your phone throughout the day.

If you could trade lives with one person - historical or still alive - for an entire day, who would it be and why?

I would have to say Oprah Winfrey - I think she is so inspirational. She has overcome such extreme adversity to become the successful woman she is today. I love that she uses her fame to help others whilst spreading the word about self-improvement and spirituality.

Favourite movie character of all time - and why.

Who doesn't like Forrest Gump? He achieved so much against all odds. His character is so endearing - you can't help but fall in love.

If you could have your pick of superpowers, what would you choose?

Since I've gone though a shift in my way of thinking, I now have a different perspective regarding what I believe to be true life fulfilment. The only power which I perceive to be a true superpower is the ability to have a beautiful mind, absent of everyday suffering - stress, anxiety, fear: all things that lead to unhappiness and hold us back in life. My dream would be to have the ability to help others achieve this state of mind as well.
