If you're wondering how to spend your Eid holidays, stop by Yas Mall, where Cascade Dining's 23 food outlets - including casual restaurants like Chili's and Burger Fuel - will be having some pretty magical performances. To kick-start the entertainment, resident magician Magic Max will be interacting with audiences at 3.30pm, 5.30pm and 7pm on all three days. Moreover, on September 13 and 14, Titan the Robot will keep visitors entertained by showing up at Cascade Dining five times a day and chatting, posing, and just being his hilarious self. Who can resist good food with a side of entertainment?
Donate a book
Chuck E Cheese, famous for being as kid-friendly as it gets, has just launched its charitable 'Donate a Book' campaign in September, so do hop on over to their Ibn Battuta and Oud Metha branches and get your little ones to donate. For this little act of generosity, kids will receive two free tokens per book that they can use within the facility's many arcade games! So, the more books, the more tokens! Just make sure the books are in good condition for other young readers. For more information, check out www.chuckecheeseme.com
The doll-house
We were all pretty stoked when Barbie announced the expansion of its Fashionistas doll line and now, these gorgeous dolls have made their way to the Middle East. With the doll line including four different body types (the original and three others), seven skin tones, 22 eye colours and 24 hairstyles, not to mention countless clothes and accessories, they truly represent every culture and ethnicity. which is pretty perfect for a country like the UAE! The new collection can be viewed on Barbie.com and is now available in Toy Store and Hamleys and other retail stores. Here's to sparking your kids' imagination with more unique - and realistic - dolls.
Get your kids to buckle up
According to Chantal Ariens, director of Blossom Nurseries, "Only one in every five infants in the UAE is actually restrained in a proper car seat". In recognition of this fact, Blossom Children's Nursery has teamed up with top car seat brand Phil & Teds to create awareness on car seat safety. You wouldn't want to miss their free car seat demonstration road shows on September 18 and 19 in Al Quoz, or the ones from Sept 25-29 across Blossom centres. They're also giving away some car seats, and all you have to do to win is share a picture of your kid buckled up with the hashtag #buckleupforsafety and tag in @philandteds @babysouk @dbbabies @blossom @sassymamadubai. For details, call 055 NURSERY (055 6877379).
Laugh along with a Potter Parody

Muggles, rejoice! The hit Harry Potter parody is back in Dubai. Potted Potter - the Unauthorised Harry Experience by Jeff and Dan will play from September 15-17 at DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates, and is sure to be an enchanting experience for all. The family-friendly show takes on the challenge of condensing seven Harry Potter books into 70 hilarious minutes. Whether you're a fan or not, all those 'between the age of six to Dumbledore', as the show states, are sure to have fun. Check out the DUCTAC website for more info.
