Swatch has always tried to create a stir with bold new collections - the aim has always been to 'stand out from the crowd'. Well, they've done it again with their new SKIN collection aka their thinnest watch line. Introducing 11 minimalist styles in two new case sizes for men and women, the new line employs a distinct wave element that encourages its wearer to embrace movement and the freedom that comes with it.
Watch their social media channels, on which they will tell stories of transformation under the hashtag #YOURMOVE. The watches are available at all Hour Choice stores in the UAE.
COOKING FEVER
If cooking is a life skill you believe your kids should be well acquainted with, Italian restaurant Ricetta, at Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, has opened its kitchen doors this month to help your kids whip up a storm.
Taking place every Saturday of the month till May 20, the restaurant is inviting children between the ages of six and 12 years to pick up their spatulas and learn to create pizzas, pastas, and crostata cakes with the help of their head chef Alex Sebastianutti.
"Cooking is such a wonderful skill to give your kids. If they can rustle up wholesome home cooked food, it'll always keep them healthy and creative. And as they grow up, it's a great skill to share with hungry housemates and make friends too!" he says. Call 04-3977444 for more info.
GO FOR GOLD
It's a day on the calendar during which gold and jewellery stores in the country see something akin to the great gold rush, as customers get out in droves in a bid to snap up the best deals. If you too are stepping out to celebrate Akshaya Tritiya, meant to herald prosperity and wealth, here's a look at some of the latest collections available from leading retailers. All that glitters, in this case, is definitely gold.
THE HEAT IS ON
In case you missed it, Episode 6 of Foodshala featured a major bake-off between three passionate home chefs, in which Zendy and Dushyant progressed to the quarter finals. The next episode will feature the first of the quarter finals, in which eight culinary enthusiasts will compete to make it to the semi-finals. The contestants will be required to prepare a two-course meal, using ingredients provided by Chef Akshay Nayyar. But here's the rub: the ingredients will be ones that are usually discarded or wasted. It will be up to the contestants to come up with the most innovative, yet tasty, dishes in the span of an hour. Who will make it? Find out on Zee TV at 7.30pm tomorrow.
