Handkerchief, face mask or an umbrella are essential items for people who are going out today as the country will continue to experience hazy and dusty weather conditions with chances of some scattered rain, according to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
UAE residents had woken up on Tuesday morning (yesterday) with sandstorm hitting parts of the country and reducing visibility at several places. The NCM reported blowing dust over Sweihen, Al Minhand and parts of Abu Dhabi. The sandstorm also hit Dubai and Sharjah while light rain was reported in some areas.

An NCM spokesperson told Khaleej Times that the weather for today and tomorrow will be hazy at times, with relative fall in temperature.

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and keep a safe distance between cars because fresh winds with blowing dust will result in poor visibility at less than 2,000 metres in some areas. It will also be partly cloudy with little chance of rain in Eastern parts of the country and Al Ain in the morning. The temperature will register a fall by at least five degrees along the coastal areas.
On Wednesday, the weather will remain partly cloudy in general and hazy at times, with another slight fall in temperatures. Moderate winds may cause blowing dust over the exposed areas and the relative humidity is likely to increase by night and early morning over some internal and coastal areas with a chance of fog/mist formation.
The sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in Oman Sea.
