UAE reveals reason behind rain, hail in summer

The UAE Research Program for Rain Enhancement Science revealed on Monday the reason behind the odd heavy hail and thunderstorms around the country during summer.

As UAE residents wondered why it was still raining while mercury rose around the country - UAEREP took to social media to explain the strange phenomenon.
The National Centre of Meteorology has been active in cloud seeding operations:

'#NCM has been active in cloud seeding operations, due to the accumulation of the abundant convective clouds over the UAE in several areas (specifically in the Eastern & Southern terrains) within the last few days'
Heavy hailstorms have lashed parts of the country since last week, with a thunderstorm hitting Dubai on Sunday night.
The rain has provided some respite to those fasting in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
