Light rainfall hits parts of UAE this afternoon

Light rainfall has hit parts of UAE this afternoon.

According to the NCM (National Centre of Meteorology) the Malaqet as well as the Khatam Al Shaklah areas in Al Ain have received light rainfall.
Wednesday (June 6) was forecast to be a generally 'hot and hazy day' in the UAE, with temperature expected to hit a scorching 48°C, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The forecast also predicted the appearance of some clouds over some eastern areas. Light to moderate winds in general were expected to blow dust over some exposed areas.
The maximum temperatures was forecast to surge to 49°C inland, with lows of 23°C expected in the mountains. The relative humidity levels could be as high as 90 per cent expected to increase during night and early morning times over some eastern western areas.
Winds were forecast to veer southeasterly to northeasterly, 16 - 26,kph, reaching 36kph at times in the internal areas during day time.
The highest temperature recorded over the country on Tuesday was 47.3 °C in Madinat Zayed at 4:15pm, while the lowest temperature recorded today morning was 26.3 °C in Ras Ghanadah at 5:15 am.
On Tuesday evening, moderate to light rainfall was also reported in Al Ain, the NCM had tweeted.
