UAE fighter jets blazoned the skies in the national colours of red, green, white and black as the country displayed its military prowess during a parade in Umm Al Quwain on Friday. "Their unification as a single body is a historic event ... Under the leadership of The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, our armed forces enjoy a special status in terms of state-of-the-art technology, training, quality of armament, and development of their capabilities, with the ultimate goal of protecting our homeland and its gains and ensuring its security and stability."
