Firefighters in of Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) seem to be busy most of the time after being involved in putting out several blazes in the emirate.
The most recent of these was on Thursday when a team from the UAQ civil defence department managed to extinguish a fire that erupted in the caravans of a farm in Kaber area.

The central operations room of the UAQ Police, having been alerted of the blaze, dispatched traffic police, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the site in record time.
Col Hassan Ali Mohammed bin Sarm, director of the UAQ civil defence department, on Thursday afternoon said his competent firefighters managed to put out the fire before it spread to nearby farms.
"The civil defence team has safely evacuated the farm," he said. "No casualties were reported in the fire."
Col Bin Sarm warned against dumping inflammable wastes at or close to manufacturing or production areas.
"Such wastes easily catch fire because of the scorching summer temperatures," he underlined.
"Improper storage of dangerous and inflammable items is also blamed for many recent blazes," he said, noting that the UAQ civil defence is reachable round the clock.
On Wednesday, the firefighters in Umm Al Quwain managed to put out a fire that erupted in a parked car; the seventh to catch fire in less than two months in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain.
