The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, calls on motorists to take all precautions and follow traffic regulations regarding dust and sand causing poor visibility.
In a statement today, the NCM said that visibility is expected to be less than 1,500 m at times in overexposed areas due to fresh northwesterly winds with speed reaching up to 46 km/hr until 7 pm on Monday evening.
Earlier today, motorists in the UAE were surprised when the cloudy weather made way for slight rain in few parts of the country.
Light rain was reported over Dibba (Fujairah), Ajman and Umm Al Quwain on Monday morning.

The National Centre of Meteorology shared a video of rain in Umm Al Quwain on their Twitter account.
More video from Umm Al Quwain was shared by storm centre.
The day in UAE is expected to be partly cloudy in general with light rainfall northwards and eastwards in the morning. Residents can witness a fall in the temperature with dust blowing overexposed areas.
The NCM also issued a weather warning about up to 7 feet waves hitting the UAE, along with strong winds.
The weather will remain similar this week. By Wednesday, the amount of clouds will increase gradually over the sea and some northern areas by night with the probability of light rain.
