Residents across the country were forced to dust off their raincoats on Sunday as the weather took an unexpected turn for the worse.
As heavy rains lashed most parts of the country during the morning hours, residents experienced only short intervals of rest bite from the wet weather as it continued to pour throughout the day.

Drive with caution
A spokesperson of National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said that moderate to fresh winds will blow more strongly at times throughout the next few days, potentially stirring up dust and sand.
These fresh winds will reduce visibility across most parts of the emirates until the end of the week, and motorists are being warned to drive with caution.
"Visibility will be reduced due to dusting winds and the sea will be rough and will remain that way for the next three to four days."
On Monday, temperatures will reach highs of between 22-27 degrees by mid afternoon.
