The speed limit on the Al Fayah-Seih Shaib Road in Abu Dhabi has been reduced to from 100kmph to 80kmph.
The Abu Dhabi Police on Friday took to social media to announce the new speed limit, saying that they had decided to reduce the speed limit for all light and heavy vehicles for smooth movement of traffic and to maintain safety on the road.
The new speed limit, which is now 80kmph, will come into effect starting from September 1.
According to the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate, a recent study conducted by them showed that the number of accidents recorded on Al Fayah-Seih Shaib Road increased during the first half of 2017.
