Crying for help, an investor in Sharjah called a local TV programme lamenting how his life crumbled after an accident in 2017. Little did he know, that moment was the last time he would ever have to think about his dilemma as the Ruler of Sharjah immediately came to his rescue.
Upon hearing the man's story on the programme Al Khat Al Mubasher, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, promised to solve all his problems, from his physical condition to financial issues.
The caller, Khalid Ali - an investor and a retired professor - met with an accident in 2017 that caused internal bleeding in his brain, among other serious injuries.
After a surgery, part of his skull also had to be removed. His life was never the same after the incident.
He could not afford further treatment. He got stuck in debt. His company in Al Hamliya incurred many fines he could never hope to settle.
When the presenter said Sheikh Sultan would help him out, he broke down in tears of joy, exclaiming "Allahu Akbar (Allah is great)".
"Don't cry and stay strong," the TV presenter told him, relaying a message from the Ruler.
