Giving a big boost to child safety campaign, Sharjah launched its informative social media accounts on Sunday.
The launch coincided with Universal Children's Day, and comes in line with the campaign's objectives of achieving community awareness about child safety and well-being in Sharjah.
The @shjchildsafety accounts on Twitter and Instagram - and soon on Facebook - include all that is relevant for the protection of children in terms of behavioural, social, moral, religious, educational, psychological and cultural aspects.
It seeks to achieve familial and social stability for children by providing them with a comprehensive healthy environment that will empower and enable them to develop their skills.
"We have launched this informational social media account based on the directives of Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), who recognises the need to empower future generations, as well as develop and protect them," said Hanadi Saleh Al Yafei, Department Director at the SCFA, Head of the Organising Committee of the Child Safety Campaign.
For now, the content is in Arabic. English content will be developed at a later stage.
