A worker is standing trial at the Dubai Court of First Instance for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old schoolboy. Public prosecution records show that the incident took place on June 13 and was reported at Bur Dubai police station.
The European boy recounted during the investigation how he was in his bedroom watching videos on his laptop when the accused suddenly touched him. "He entered the room to change the AC temperature and then kept staring at me.
"I was sitting on my bed and had the laptop on my legs. He groped me once and moved his hand away quickly. He went to the door when I screamed and then turned to me, gesturing to me to keep quiet."
The boy's father went to the bedroom when he heard his screams. "The man had come to my house to do some work in the bathroom. I heard my son screaming and saw him crying and shaking out of fear and shock," the 42-year-old father recalled during the investigation.
The father went out looking for the worker and found him in the bathroom. He called the police.
A ruling will be pronounced on September 15.
