The Ras Al Khaimah Charity Foundation (RAKCF) has contributed Dh517,000 for carrying out an array of charity projects abroad so far this year. The contributions, initially collected from philanthropists here in the UAE, were used for constructing a number of mosques and digging tens of water wells for the benefit of disadvantaged people worldwide.
Mohammed Jakkah Al Mansouri, secretary general of the RAKCF, said: "The foundation, committed to vulnerable people no matter where they are located, exerts its utmost effort to carry out critical and much-needed projects in many impoverished countries."
Al Mansouri extended his appreciation to the philanthropists and donors. "They never fail us, and have always been there to support our charity projects and activities all over the country and worldwide. It is our duty to reach out to the indigent in line with the directives of the prudent leadership."
