The Sharjah Civil Defence put out a fire which erupted in a residential building on Thursday.
According to initial reports, the Operation Room of Sharjah Civil Defence received information about a fire on the 7th floor of the Silver Horse building.
Firefighting and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the site of the fire and evacuated residents, comprising six fire trucks and three ambulances.
No injuries were reported.
A housewife in one of the flats became aware of the fire after smoke filled up her home, which may have been caused by a short circuit, according to initial details.
The fire started in a bed room and smoke was coming out from the air-conditioner.
She immediately escaped the building.
Another resident, who was in his pyjamas, said that he was sleeping when someone knocked on his door to alert him about the fire. He immediately rushed down as well.
Tenants alerted each other of the fire as the fire alarm didn't go off, according to them.

Civil Defence teams used ladders to evict residents, who were trapped on the top floor of the 7-storey building.
The flat - where the fire erupted - was partially gutted in the fire.
Civil defence team from Samnan and headquarters participated in the operation.
An official said that the fire was under control within 20 minutes followed by an ongoing cooling operation.
Evacuated residents are still under the building, waiting permission from authorities to return to their flats.
