A 45-year old Omani died on the spot after being run over by a car on Tuesday on Al Madam Street in Sharjah.
The Operations Room at Al Madam Police Station received word of the incident and immediately dispatched patrols, ambulances, and traffic experts to the scene, where they found the man already dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Al Madam hospital by ambulance and the patrol cleared the road for traffic.
Traffic experts launched an investigation, which revealed that an Indian - identified as M.W. - was driving a heavy truck on Al Madam Road when his tire exploded and he lost control of the vehicle, which swerved off the road and ran over the victim as he was standing next to his broken-down Honda on the shoulder. The

The truck also collides with the Honda, causing serious injuries to the companion of the deceased who was sitting in the vehicle.
