A dazzling array of fireworks and entertainment events are happening in the UAE capital this New Year’s Eve. The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCTA) has just announced shows taking place at the Abu Dhabi Corniche and Yas Island on December 31. Residents and visitors will also witness a 35-minute fireworks show that’s set to smash two Guinness World Records.

The shows are taking place at the Corniche, Yas Island, Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba and Al Mariah Island Promenade.
Precautionary measures to be followed during celebrations:
1 Avoid crowds.
2 Participate in events within the same family.
3 Wear masks at all times.
4 Maintain at lease 2 metres social distance.
5 Wash and sanitise hands at regular intervals.
6 Elderly people and those suffering from chronic illnesses should stay at home.
7 Anyone showing symptoms of illness should refrain from participating in any event.
8 Those violating safety rules will face fines and legal consequences.
