The National Archives has announced the establishment of the "Martyrs Archive" project, the first part of which will be presented on UAE Martyrs' Day, November 30 in the honour of the brave Emiratis who were martyred in defence of the homeland while performing their national duty.
Along with the archive, a museum to commemorate the martyrs will be established, following directives of Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Archives.
The project seeks to create a documented historical record of each martyr, attesting to his biography and his career, and all related information. It aims at keeping a record of their details in the National Archives followed by the establishment of a museum commemorating their memory and heroism.
