A man, who was arrested for murdering a Nepalese woman, has been referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution for further investigation. The woman was found dead outside a villa in Emirates Hills.
The Nepalese suspect was arrested on May 21 from the villa in Al Barsha area.
The police said that their operation room had received a call from a Pakistani national about the body of a woman lying outside the villa. The police rushed to the site and found the body lying in the garden outside the villa.
Police investigations found that the murdered woman was in a relationship with the Nepalese man, who worked as a cleaner in the villa. During police interrogation, the suspect confessed to the "unintentional" murder of the woman. He said that on the day of the incident, the woman had come to the villa where they spent time together in his private room. They shared lunch and had sex. While the suspect was trying to return to work, the deceased insisted that he stay with her.
The suspect said that he held the woman's neck multiple times as she started shouting to prevent him from going to work. He pushed her into the washroom basin and later pushed her into the bed and left for work.
The accused said that he was "stunned" to find her in the same place when he returned and realised she was dead. With the aim of getting rid of the body, he took a ladder and threw it outside the villa.
The police found the woman's phone, shoes and scarf in the cupboard of the suspect.
