The Federal Court has sentenced an Arab man and his fiancée to life in prison for possessing and selling drugs in Dubai. Another man who was helping them was also sentenced to prison.
According to Emarat Al Youm, the man was arrested red-handed while trying to sell hashish to an undercover agent from the Dubai police. The woman confessed to cooperating with her fiancée, a hairdresser, as she smuggled the drugs into the country. She said the man promised to marry her and provide her a job.
The court has also sentenced the trio to two years' imprisonment for using drugs.
