In a private address, the Republican presidential candidate attacks prosecutors involved in his criminal indictments
The 33-year-old man, from India, is accused of groping the woman, a Filipina, at the trading firm where they both worked, on August 15. He denied the charge in court, saying the incident happened by accident.
A complaint was lodged at Al Qusais police station.
"I was on duty as a receptionist. The incident occurred when I went to the accounting office, the defendant's. I wanted to talk to the accused about some transactions. He was not there so I waited for him near his desk," the 37-year-old complainant said.
She told the prosecutor she suddenly felt someone touching her inappropriately. "I turned around and saw it was the defendant who touched me. I tried to hit him with a pile of papers."
She added that she told him what she was there for, as he sat behind his desk.
The accountant admitted during the investigation he had touched the woman with a pen.
The incident, which was caught on a surveillance recording tape, was enclosed as public prosecution evidence to the case.
Copies of conversations between the two on WhatsApp, in which the receptionist was threatening to take action against the defendant if he repeated his behaviour, were also used by the prosecution in the case.
