A two-year-old Indian girl succumbed to her injuries she sustained when the car in which she was travelling with her parents veered off the road and flipped over several times at Al Rams area in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on June 14 (Friday).

Police sources said they were alerted about the accident which took place 6km to the north of Ras Al Khaimah city.
"The little girl, Zulfa, received injuries when the car driven by her father, who works as a mosque imam in Ras Al Khaimah, turned over several times, they added. "The father, mother and the child were injured in the accident."
On being alerted about the accident, the central operations room of the RAK Police dispatched traffic and police patrols, ambulances, paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
According to medical sources, the trio was rushed to the Saqr hospital.
"The condition of the father and mother improved, but the girl could not make it and was declared dead on Saturday (June 22)."
Prasad Sreedharan, a social worker affiliated with a medical committee recently constituted by the Consulate General of India (CGI) in Dubai, told Khaleej Times:
"The child had head injury which impacted her brain. She was in ICU at Saqr Hospital for one week,."
She was the only child of her parents, he added.
The case has been referred to the bodies concerned for legal action, while the body of the girl handed over to her family for burial.
She was buried at the Filya cemetery in Ras Al Khaimah in the presence of her relatives and neighbours.
